We have an immediate opportunity for a Part Time, 15 hpw,  ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE COORDINATOR


Position Summary:

Compute, classify, and record numerical data to keep financial records complete. Perform any combination of routine calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain primary financial data for use in maintaining accounting records. May also check the accuracy of figures, calculations, and postings pertaining to business transactions recorded by other workers.




  • Supervises the Accounts Receivable transaction activity including but not limited to: customer invoices and cash receipts.
  • Prepares customer invoices for all departments based on terms of customer purchase order.
  • Executes weekly collection calls and follow-up with customers.
  • Applies all cash receipts to appropriate customer/contract/general ledger account.
  • Works in conjunction with Project Accountant for preparation and transmittal of Sales and Use tax returns.
  • Enters Installation job estimates into Job Cost module.
  • Updates and distributes schedule of revenue change orders on manufacturing jobs once a week.
  • Distributes Job Cost Summary reports to Project Managers at month-end or as needed. Uses information provided from Project Managers to update Contract spreadsheet for month-end close.
  • Completes spreadsheets on Work in Progress by Plant, Stock Jobs, Billings in Progress, and Sales by State for month-end close.
  • Closes jobs once they have been invoiced in full.       Archive closed jobs and update spreadsheet of archived jobs.
  • Prepares the General Ledger account reconciliations and audit work-papers as assigned.
  • Complies with established recordkeeping procedures for the retention of invoices and cash receipts.
  • Completes customer credit references.
  • Communicates problems to Supervisor in a proactive way.
  • Perform duties as assigned by Supervisor.




Education & Experience:


An Associates degree in Accounting or Finance with knowledge of accounting principles is required. At least 2 years experience in a professional business setting is necessary for the overall success of this position. A thorough understanding and ability to use all Microsoft software applications (specifically Microsoft Excel); coupled with experience with accounting software is required. Must display strong analytical skills, interpersonal & written communications and organizational skills.
