  • Overview

    Regional Sales Service Manager - Develop and maintain key accounts by cultivating long term profitable relationships.   Organize and motivate JBT resources to manage customer relationship in a positive manner. Sell and or lease JBT citrus processing and Fresh Produce equipment, parts and services.


    This position earns a competive base salary plus commission on sales!  Other benefits include a company vehicle, laptop, and cell phone.


    Major Responsibility Area #1: Customer Relations

    • Develop and manage annual Customer Success Plans for assigned accounts.
    • Meet assigned CSP PV Calls and submit call report in timely manner.
    • Return customer calls within 24 hours.
    • Effectively determine and meet customer requirements.
    • Coordinate customer seminars and other training presentations.


    Major Responsibility Area #2: Profitable Sales

    • Ensure customer payments are made in a timely manner.
    • Ensure customer box reports are submitted in a timely manner.
    • Evaluate profitability and fit of potential projects, meeting P/L objective of 100% of sold projects.
    • Achieve targeted ROI for sold projects annually.
    • Negotiate most favorable agreements for JBT on sold projects, measured by profitability and customer satisfaction.
    • Manage aftermarket parts sales and distribution supplier 3Wire.


    Major Responsibility Area #3: Communications


    • Communicate CSP updates and year end results to management team.
    • Complete and distribute call reports and trade show reports as required.
    • Communicate account updates and review with JBT sales and service organization monthly.
    • Monthly comments provided to U.S. Sales Service Manager by the 20th of each month.
    • Complete monthly expense report.
    • Submit product sales forecast to U.S. Sales Service Manager.
    • Prepare and distribute product bulletins to customer base and service organizations.


    Major Responsibility Area #4: Resource Allocation


    • Coordinate, direct, and effectively utilize appropriate JBT personnel and other resources to meet customer requirements.
    • Meet weekly with Fresh’n Squeeze team personnel to review customer equipment delivery schedules, parts shortages, design changes and service support issues.
    • Coordinate service training and support as needed.
    • Coordinate engineering efforts to support product line certifications, customer needs and cost reductions.
    • Coordinate service company efforts to support customer requirements.
    • Acquire Master Agreements, Conditional Sales Contracts, Purchase Orders, and payments as defined by the credit department.
    • Manage product warranty and sales policy work.
    • Manage and coordinate product trade show operations.
    • Manage product line distributor relationship and collaborate on key customer opportunities.  


    Major Responsibility Area #5: Gathering Market and Competitive Information


    • Attend at least one appropriate trade association and technical meeting to obtain industry knowledge.
    • Monitor competition and report to JBT management on necessary marketing, sales, development, manufacturing or financial actions.
    • Gather relevant industry information and distribute to customers.


    Major Responsibility Area #6: Presentation Skills


    • Prepare and present appropriate customer proposals and other JBT presentations.
    • Coordinate with support personnel regarding the maintenance, modernization and availability of audio / visual equipment.


    Major Responsibility Area #7: Leading and Managing


    • Hire, develop and retain individuals to meet the current and future business requirements.
    • Work with employees to identify training opportunities and develop a training program together with them.
    • Update the Position Descriptions under my control annually or as needed.
    • Complete employee performance appraisals the month prior to the scheduled review date and HRIS approvals are completed on time.
    • Performance discussions are held during the year, and as needed with employees. Good and outstanding employee performance is recognized and duly rewarded throughout the year.
    • Employee performance issues are openly and honestly addressed and employee is supported in performance improvement plan.
    • Employees understand and receive compensation according to pay for performance guidelines.
    • 100% of employees, including this manager, have an annual development plan and take action to complete their plans.
    • Progress on annual Objectives (APIs) for direct reports are reviewed with them on a regular basis.

    • Mandatory:  BS/BA Degree in Engineering, Technical, or Business, or at least 10 years of experience in the Citrus market in installation, production, service, extractor planing or a technical role plus a commitment to pursue a Bachelor's degree
    • Preferred:  MBA            


    Skills and Experience:

    • Mandatory: Speak/write English, Computer Literate, Driver's License, Demonstrated mechnical aptitude or hands-on experience working in a manufacturing or food processing plant
    • Preferred:  Two or more years of industry experience, technical background, extensive industry connections, Spanish/Portuguese fluency



    • May be required to travel for extended periods of time.
