    Responsibilities

    Sr. Purchasing Manager

    Avure Technologies, Division of JBT Inc. (NYSE), is looking for a Sr. Purchasing Manager or Director based out of its Middletown, OH location. This is a position that has high visibility with a career path that could lead to a Director of Operations position and beyond. Avure has experienced significant global growth with its unique HPP technology that helps keep food safe, last longer without the use of chemicals or heat. JBT is on the Fortune 100 fastest growing companies list and offers many opportunities for advancement with excellent benefits. This position is responsible for the procurement of materials, supplies and service categories as assigned. Works to develop a supply chain that meets safety, quality, delivery and cost requirements and goals.  Helps the procurement function and vendors pursue Relentless Continuous Improvement.  Strives to meet or exceed customer service, inventory, quality and financial targets set by Senior management.

    Qualifications

    A career path that demonstrates progressively increasing responsibilities in manufacturing and purchasing is required

    • MBA is desired or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or Engineering with a thorough knowledge of Purchasing and Supply Chain Management principals is required.
    • Experience in low volume capital goods and in processes such as welding, machining, forgings and assembly is helpful.
    • Minimum of seven to ten (7-10) years of Manufacturing experience
    • Experience with MRP/ERP systems.
    • High level of analytical ability and demonstrated maturity to make decisions and recommendations where problems are complex.
    • With 25% travel expected.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
