    Today, JBT Corporation’s AeroTech Division is a world leader in the supply of airport equipment and services focused on the future.  At our Orlando, Florida facility we manufacture airport ground support equipment, including aircraft deicers, aircraft tow tractors, cargo loaders and transporters.  

     

    The Maintenance Group Team Lead will organize the work activities necessary to diagnose, install and repair various plant equipment and systems within cost constraints, without defects, and on time.

    Specific duties include:

    • Day to day duties as senior level performer in assigned department
    • Maintain and update preventative maintenance schedules and equipment history.
    • Provide performance appraisal input.
    • Champion safety training, safety audits, behavior correction, and rules enforcement.

      Conduct meetings to communicate goals and objectives and provide performance feedback.

      Communicate the work schedule.

    • Perform routine maintenance and light to medium repairs to facility, equipment and systems that may consist of electronic, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic or pneumatic systems.
    • Work independantly or with OEM support to diagnose machine malfunctions, determine needed repairs, and perform repair or provide cost and time estimate for an outside contractor to repair.
    • Assist in research and process AFEs.
    • Develop processes for equipment maintenance.
    • Participate on plant committees.

      Install new equipment or systems.

    • Follow Safety, Health, Environment, and Hazardous Waste Rules and Responsibilities.
    • Responsible for assigning work to department members and ensuring performance to meet defined schedules.
    • Individual must lead by example, train and coach team members, and identify and communicate performance issues to Facilities Manager.
    • Influences immediate activities while planning for weekly and monthly schedule adherence and month to month transitions.
    • Possesses and develops ability to craft creative alternatives should the original plan change.
    • Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the company’s discretion.

     

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    Education and Experience:

    Two years technical training in Industrial Maintenance. Six years experience in Industrial Maintenance.

    Specialized Knowledge, Equipment, and Applications:

    • Knowledge of welding equipment, overhead cranes, forklifts, paint systems, waste water treatment processes, general factory maintenance processes
    • Previous maintenance work experience in a Manufacturing environment
    • Ability to resolve situations in a timely manner and make sound business decisions.
    • Ability to prioritize multiple projects.
    • HVAC certification is preferred.
    • The ability to train and motivate people

    • Work Environment- Indoors in manufacturing with high noise level and office environment and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
    • Physical Demands- Constant standing, hearing, and seeing with frequent walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing of ladders and stairs, and handling and grasping.
    • Supervisor Responsibilities- No direct reports; May aid in the training of new or lesser experienced employees.
    • Degree of Supervision- Works under minimal supervision. Relies on experience, judgment, and skills to plan and accomplish assigned goals.
    • Maintain proper housekeeping and safety standards by properly using protective equipment, safe operation of all machinery, tools, and equipment as well as following safety rules at all times.
