    • Overtime after 8 hours per weekday and all day on Saturdays/Sundays
    • 25-40% of hours are OT
    • 11 & 3 day rotations are typical

    • Evaluations at 3 and 6 months, then annually; opportunities for raises at each


    Position Summary:

    This is a technical\hands on position, which will be responsible for complete and accurate installation tasks for A & B Process Systems. This position will take an active role in the execution of assigned tasks through project leadership and coordination with other supervisors, construction managers and project managers.



    • Identifies areas of improvement that will eliminate waste, improve productivity while supporting safe work practices.
    • Must have the ability to lead by example.
    • Must have the ability to schedule a crew of men and keep them working efficiently.
    • Must have the ability to communicate with the construction manager and project manager to determine the expectations of a given project.
    • Responsible for communication with office in regards to project requirements and employees.
    • Must have a complete understanding of piping layout, good piping practices.
    • Must have a complete understanding of P&ID’s and layout drawings.
    • Ability to read and understand scope of work documents and project requirements.
    • Responsible for understanding and consistently executing company policies, rules, regulations, contracts, procedures, programs and/or work practices effectively and efficiently.
    • Responsible for completion or assures completion and accuracy of company paperwork such as production reports, timecards, expense reports, performance evaluations and end of job checklists.
    • Responsible for initiation, presentation, negotiation as well as follow ups for approval of field AWA’s.
    • Responsible for motivating other associates.
    • Responsible for addressing associates concerns.
    • Responsible for consistently providing the A&B project manager/construction manager and the customer with project updates.
    • Responsible to ensure professionalism of the crew and all paperwork at all times.
    • Responsible for looking ahead to keep tools, materials and expendables on hand to reduce inefficiencies.
    • Responsible for generating a daily and weekly work plan for all employees working under them.
    • Responsible for verifying the crew is working from the latest revision of drawings and P&ID’s.
    • Responsible for taking an assigned project from start to completion. This includes verifying every last detail has been completed including the generation and completion of a detailed punch. (Including items such as welds being cleaned, hangers tightened, lines and components verified using the P&ID’s, etc.)
    • Responsible for job completion including: material returns, rental returns, argon returns and overall site demobilization.
    • Responsible for quality assurance.
    • Responsible for identifying broken tools, getting them replaced and getting them back to the shop for repair.
    • Responsible for completion of production reports for assigned project when requested.
    • Accountable for estimated vs. actual production hours per task.
    • Responsible for maintaining company equipment and vehicles.
    • Position will have the capability to perform equipment rigging and installation as well as piping projects including all aspects of fitting and welding.
    • Will maintain and display a positive attitude towards A&B as well as customers at all times. This includes building professional relationships with customers.
    • Will conduct and assist in maintaining training all associates, establish professional working relationship with all associates to ensure success of the team and individual contributions.
    • Will adhere to systems and process for efficient departmental and interdepartmental operation including SOPs.
    • Performs all Duties as assigned by Project or Construction Managers.
    • 100% travel as assigned for installation projects.


    Education & Experience:

    No degree requirement. In depth knowledge of installation practices for stainless steel fabrication such as welding is highly preferred.  At least 5 years experience in a Stainless Steel- Process piping installation environment is preferred.  Good communication skills are necessary and excellent listening skills are essential.  Interpersonal skills, teamwork, leadership, self-esteem, confidence, respect and honesty, time management skills are all qualities that are necessary for selection and success.
