    The Collections Specialist is responsible for recovering amounts from delinquent customer accounts, verification of payments, identifying and resolving delinquent customers outstanding receivables and escalating delinquencies for dispute management.

    Responsibilities

    • Contacting customers on delinquent accounts for resolution
    • Analyze and understand major customer profiles
    • Review accounts receivable aging schedule for delinquencies
    • Create and implement corrective action plans for delinquent customer accounts
    • Communicate account delinquency information to respective account executives
    • Send dunning letters and make follow-up phone calls to delinquent customers/ clients to recover amount owed to the company
    • Coordination with order entry,  cash application and billing on the resolution of process issues with delinquent customer accounts
    • Support the training and process improvement effort
    • Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the company’s discretion.

    Qualifications

    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
    • 2+ years of experience in collections
    • Meet key competencies for the job
    • Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite, Advanced Excel User (Pivot Tables, VLookups)

    Specialized Knowledge, Equipment, and Applications:

    • Customer communication skills
    • Problem solving skills
    • Functional knowledge of collections techniques and processes
    • Highly organized
    • Ability to meet strict deadlines
    • Adaptable to new ideas and ways of accomplishing tasks

    • End-to-end process effectiveness & efficiency
    • Cost, Productivity and Efficiency metrics against world class benchmarks for collection processes
    • Speed and accuracy of credit reviews processing
    • Compliance effectiveness
    • Performance metrics for process, customer and employee performance

    Special Information (Travel required, physical requirements, work environment, supervisor responsibilities, safety and so on):

    • Work Environment- Office Environment, with some exposure to Manufacturing floor.
    • Physical Demands- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus. Frequent computer and phone use. Requires repetitive finger motion and fine finger manipulation when typing.
    • Travel -  minimal travel (<5%) may be required
