    Today, JBT Corporation’s AeroTech Division is a world leader in the supply of airport equipment and services focused on the future.  At our Orlando, Florida facility we manufacture airport ground support equipment, including aircraft deicers, aircraft tow tractors, cargo loaders and transporters.  


    The Supply Chain Performance Manager will support the development and execution of end-to-end supply chain network management including: improvement activities, strategic process transformation, supply chain planning, inventory buffer design, demand management, supply chain performance, and logistics. You will also ensure linkage between process planning and execution to meet or exceed customer order to delivery market requirements while improving the business' financial results. Specific duties include:


    • Responsible for performing work to achieve supply chain performance targets focused on inventory reduction, increased inventory turns, ensure supplier on-time delivery and improved order-to-delivery results
    • Communicate materials planning forecasts to the supply chain at least monthly to tie with JBT’s production schedule
    • Serve as primary point of contact with supplies as it relates to order management and fulfillment for our business.
    • Develop and deploy the Supply Chain Planning Process, which develops the Plan for Every Part and Pull Replenishment methods for the production operation
    • Work extensively with suppliers on supply chain and material delivery planning by working backwards through the tier 2 and tier 3 supply base to identify and eliminate constraints
    • Work effectively with diverse, multi-functional teams in order to apply a supply chain planning process and lead team efforts to develop lean material flow plans for a facility, which may include implementing changes to supplier and factory inventory strategies
    • Gather and analyze data on facility demand and demand variability for each part required for production based on daily demand buckets. This role gathers and analyzes data about supplier shipping performance and variability % for each part number (both Time and Qty). This position develops material flow plans for all material coming into a facility for production as well as reviews, analyzes and cleans data prior to migration into the plant MRP.
    • Position is a key team member and will be called upon to lead deployment teams, in the execution of internal and external Pull Material Replenishment processes. This work involves using material replenishment analytical tools, establishing and sizing material supermarkets, working with pull trigger systems, enhancing communications throughout a material flow between the factory and suppliers. The incumbent should be able to work collaboratively with suppliers, buyers and factory leadership to develop optimized supply constraint solutions.
    • The position performs tactical and strategic work to reduce / eliminate supply chain constraints at both the supplier, facility and value stream level, working with a cross-functional team of personnel
    • Plan, direct, and monitor supply and logistics activities to ensure a cost-effective flow of inbound material from suppliers to production. Manage day-to-day supply and logistics activities to maximize the efficiency, reliability, timeliness, and cost effectiveness of the organization's supply chain. Activities may include: materials planning and control, procurement, inventory management, storage, warehousing, logistics, transport and distribution.
    • Coordinate with functional and operational area managers to ensure supply activities are integrated with other parts of the business.
    • Manage ongoing relationships with major suppliers to minimize costs and ensure satisfactory standards of service. Continually evaluate performance to ensure suppliers are meeting expectations including: monitoring the accuracy of data, history, performance to promised lead-times, quality of products delivered, economic orders quantites, and customer service performance goals. If there is a disconnect with meeting expectations, the Supply Chain Performance Engineer would partner with suppliers to implement corrective actions and try to improve the performance or assist in ending relations and ensuring a transition plan is in place as needed. Communicate KPIs of suppliers appropriately and escalate as needed.
    • Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the company’s discretion.


    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Operations Research, Supply Chain and/or Industrial Engineering 
    • 5+ years of supply chain related experience.
    • Experience in a highly customizable, fast-paced manufacturing environment preferred

    Training Requirements (licenses, programs, or certificates): C.P.M. or APICS certification is desired.  


    Specialized Knowledge, Equipment, and Applications:

    • Knowledge of manufacturing supply chains and their challenges
    • Ability to ramp up quickly within a new environment
    • Finance and valuation background
    • Track record of executing improvement programs within a product line or operations organization
    • Experience and knowledge with 6 Sigma and/or LEAN
    • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Develop and deploy creative/original solutions to complex problems
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
    • Experience with MRP and or ERP systems as well as Microsoft Office tools.


    Special Information (Travel required, physical requirements, work environment, supervisor responsibilities, safety and so on)

    Travel - Traveling to customer site, 50%-80% of the month is required.

    Work Environment- The successful candidate will be comfortable and able to function equally well in an office environment and on the floor of our manufacturing and assembly plant. Adherence to all safety requirements and use of personal protective equipment within the plant is mandatory.

    Physical Demands- Long periods of sitting and repetitive motion, especially computer keyboarding. Frequent standing and walking around the facility, including on the factory floor.

    Supervisor Responsibilities- This position has no direct reports.

    Relationship Responsibilities- As part of the Tactical Purchasing team, the employee will need to work collaboratively with Sourcing, Engineering, Quality, Production, Inventory, Customer Support and Accounting staff. Must be able to build excellent rapport with assigned suppliers as necessary to maximize value of supply chain relationships.  

    Travel- The successful candidate will need to be able to travel on supplier visits as required. Position is estimated to require 25% travel domestically, internationally to suppliers and /or other JBT sites.

    Safety- Maintain proper housekeeping and safety standards by properly using protective equipment, safe operation of all machinery, tools, and equipment as well as following safety rules at all times.
