    • Acts as Airport Services subject matter expert in recruitment and staffing for our Houston location.
    • Provide general HR organizational support within the HR Department communicating issues and opportunities to the Sr. HR Manager for Airport Services.
    • Perform HR functions including effective recruiting, HR process creation and administration, EEO/AAP, benefits administration, employee relations, training, compensation, performance management, organizational development, and other generalist duties.
    • Administers all LOA for Airport Services team members out of Houston.
    • Ensure compliance and adherence with division and corporate standards, and Federal and State regulations.
    • Comply with company safety program and trainings.
    • Champions lean initiatives through relentless continuous improvement efforts to drive results at all levels of the organization eliminating waste and streamlining processes and procedures.
    • Champions quality initiatives and supports the quality policy of the organization.
    • Perform other duties as assigned or needed.



    • Oversees full cycle recruitment for Airport Services as assigned by partnering with hiring managers to determine staffing needs and recruitment campaign.  
    • Sources resumes, administer appropriate assessments, coordinates the offer process with hiring manager for both exempt and non-exempt positions, initiates required drug and background screens, ensures the sites complete the onboarding process,
    • Uses traditional and non-traditional resources to identify and attract quality candidates such as career fairs, on-line job fairs, community network events, trade schools, industry organizations, airport recruiting programs, etc.
    • Develops advertising programs (internal, external, virtual) in order to ensure high visibility of the JBT Airport Services brand with potential candidates.
    • Develops and maintains superior rapport with internal and external customers to ensure staffing goals are met.
    • Works with hiring managers to ensure compliance with all federal/state laws and regulations including Affirmative Action and OFCCP compliance.
    • Manages current candidate activity in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS). Responsible to train new users on the system and ensures that resumes and requisitions are appropriately dispositioned.
    • Manages background and drug/physical screen vendors
    • Creates and maintains meaningful metrics such as turnover, time to fill, cost to fill, - and drives toward improvements.
    • Provides support and counsel to site management regarding applicable federal, state and local employment laws.
    • Provides clarification and context to JBT's policies and procedures
    • Promptly and efficiently investigates claims of harassment and/or policy infractions and partners with manager to bring issue to full resolution. 
    • Assists with payroll and benefit issues and escalations as needed.
    • Assists in technical and professional training and development programs
    • Assists with Performance Management programs
    • Evaluates labor relations and work-related problems and develops solutions within the confines of policy and directives for the Houston site. Coaches managers and team leaders on facilitating and counseling for problem resolution and improved employee performance, in compliance with local, state and federal law, including OFCCP.
    • Ensures grievances and employee complaints are investigated and resolved timely.
    • Leave of absence management and compliance for Worker’s Compensation, FMLA, Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability for the Houston site.
    • Conducts exit interviews as employees are leaving and use the data to improve when applicable.

    1. Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, Industrial Relations, or related field of study is strongly preferred.  Years of experience in the preferred industry may substitute education requirement.  
    2. At least 2 years HR Generalist experience, in manufacturing, airport and/or construction environment in areas of recruitment, employee relations and compliance, training and development, performance management/disciplinary action.
    3. At least 2 years of fast-paced recruiting in skilled trade, construction or airport personnel recruitment   
    4. Extensive experience in creative sourcing using social media, job board websites, industry and trade sites.    
    5. Expert level user with ATS (iCIMS preferred), HRIS, and LMS.
    6. A solid understanding of OFCCP, ADA, EEO, FMLA, FLSA and other applicable regulations associated with recruitment, staffing, employee relations, etc. 
    7. Experience with  staffing metrics compilation and analysis
    8. Experience in creating and facilitating HR training for compliance and development.
    9. Experience with Safety and OSHA compliance, Wcomp administration
    10. Proficient in Microsoft applications such as Word, Power Point, Visio, Outlook and Excel.    
    11. Willing and able to travel as needed for business needs.



    1. Knowledge of Davis-Bacon Act and Public Works
    2. Understanding of Prevailing, Living, Responsible Wage requirements
    3. Understanding of state and local law ordinances, particularly Houston area and the state of Texas.
    4. Advanced Excel user
    5. Experience in Lean methodology and/or other continuous improvement methodologies is helpful.
