  • Overview

     

    Provides support to computer users on their hardware and software needs and purchases, resolves PC / laptop problems, and installs new equipment or software, ensuring that users can effectively and efficiently utilize their computers. Install and assist users with internal and external email applications. Assists in LAN maintenance and other areas as assigned.  Travel to JBT North American sites (Kennesaw, GA; Northfield, MN; and Redmond, WA), as well as other FoodTech sites as requested.

    Responsibilities

    Essential Duties and Percent of Time Spent:

    Maintains contact with internal personnel (users and other Administration Group staff) to assist with all hardware and software needs, maintenance and issues at all sites and remote field users.

    Assist in the maintenance and support of the LAN by, ensuring that the system provides timely and accurate information sharing.

    Maintains presence as an internal consultant to other facilities by providing necessary information, thereby allowing them to efficiently use and maintain their systems, in support of company objectives.

    Maintain and monitor the Symantec Endpoint system for Kennesaw, Redmond, Sandusky and Northfield

    Assist in the administration of the Syteline system, user accounts, and the distribution of the UBRA form.

    Qualifications

    Knowledge and Skills:

    High school diploma required.  Microsoft Training such as a Microsoft Certification in one of the following (MCDST, MCITP, MCSE) would be considered a plus. Must be knowledgeable in Windows operating systems and other Microsoft applications such as Office and Outlook. Knowledge of Microsoft Terminal Server is a plus.   Must be able to handle a high volume work load, interact with many departments, and have a high level of customer focus. Must possess excellent communication (oral & written), as well as people skills.

     

    Experience: 

    1 to 3 years of IT experience (hardware and software troubleshooting, problems resolution, and testing).
