  • Overview


    Processes and transacts all material movement from incoming receiving, to shop floor and internal issue to outgoing shipments for the Kingston operation.  Follows established departmental policies, procedures, objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety control standards.  Embraces the Lean Enterprise strategy and adheres to all safety policies.


    Essential Duties and Percent of Time Spent:

    Ships materials and processes After Market parts.  Retrives parts from warehouse based on backlog list generated by ERP.  Transacts quantities in ERP system.  Generates shipping lables and processes through FedEx and UPS.  Verifies accuracy of Bill of Lading to customer order for all equipment shipments.  Processes vendor and customer RMAs as required.


    Issues material to shop floor for work/job orders.  From pick list and pull schedule, retrieves items from warehouse location, stages on WIP (Work in Process) racks, transacts in ERP and issues to shop floor.  Defines/publishes shortages and insures filled daily as items become available.


    Receives material from shop floor.  Verifies materials issue, quantity is correct, work order is complete and item is received to stock or moved to parent job on shop floor. Transacts material movement into ERP system.


    Receives incoming materials and verifies item and quantity with the packing slip and purchase order.   Inspects for damage and defects.  Reports discrepancy to supervisor and/or purchasing personnel.  Sorts, counts, packages, labels, insures and unpacks.   Moves received materials to proper warehouse location and records in ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system. Processes vendor and customer RMA’s (Returned Material Authorizations) as required.


    Performs daily cycle accounts, investigates variances, and provides root cause and corrective action.  Responds to inquiries and researches and resolves problems related to transactions handled by the department.  Resolves issues as appropriate.


    Operates material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.  Ensures that equipment is in working order and reports issues immediately.  Maintains parts room and warehouse cleanliness.  Attends mandatory forklift safety training course provided by JBT.




    Knowledge and Skills:

    High School Diploma or GED preferred

    Ability to maintain quality, safety control standards.

    Ability to receive, stock, and/or deliver goods.

    Basic PC skills.

    Fundamental ERP skills.

    Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork.

    Ability to detect problems and report information to appropriate personnel.

    Ability to sort, check, count, and verify numbers.

    Knowledge of light equipment operation and/or maintenance.

    Ability to understand and follow safety procedures.

    Ability to receive, track, and distribute materials, supplies, and equipment.

    Ability to perform simple arithmetic.

    Fork Truck records maintenance skills.

    Ability to manipulate 35lbs. objects.

    Knowledge of postal or commercial shipping methods and procedures.



    5 years in a materials handling environment strongly preferred.
