    Responsibilities

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Perform simple to complex sheet metal working techniques to produce miscellaneous parts and equipment for industrial food processing equipment manufacturer.
    • Use standard methods, procedures and documentation such as routings, work orders, verbal and written instructions, prints sketches, charts, and tables.

     

    MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS

    • High school diploma or G.E.D.
    • Experience working with heavy gauge (7 gauge) stainless steel sheet metal.
    • Experience working on CNC brakes and laser (Trumpf), and iron worker sheer.
    • Will be forming, cutting, and some grinding of sheet metal.
    • Must be able to read blueprints.
    • Required to perform set-up, programming, and operation.
    • 2 years trades training and or minimum one year experience in an industrial environment.
    • Must have basic tools of the trade.
    • Ability to use shop arithmetic including decimals and fractions.
    • In process checks will be required by the operator to maintain all required tolerances and quality requirements
    • Organize work area before and after parts are processed, stacking completed parts properly to prevent handling/transport damage
    • Efficiently and accurately form parts, assist in driving improvements in the area
    • Ability to think through and solve production problems with minimal help and supervision
    • Working knowledge of Bend Allowances, K-Factors, Radiuses, and how to choose the right dies for a specific application

    Qualifications

    • 5+ years of Setup experience on Press Brakes
    • Preferred: 5+ years on Trumpf 5320 or equivalent CNC equipment
    • Acceptable: 5+ years on Trumpf 3120 or equivalent CNC equipment  
    • Ability to read blueprints

    WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    You must be physically capable of:

    • Working 10 hours per day, 6 days a week for 12 months.
    • Working around moving industrial machinery.
    • Using hand tools.
    • Lifting parts or equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
    • Occasional stooping, crouching, and reaching.
    • Walking and standing for entire shift.
    • Receiving and conveying detailed instructions.
    • Applying pressure to an object with fingers and palm and perceiving the texture of parts.
    • Working around exposure to machinery noise, coolants and oils, and fumes from associated flammable aerosol products.
    • Working around exposure from metal turnings, sharp metal edges, and moving machinery.
    • Working in moderate to extreme heat or cold.
    • Capable of handling moderate stress to complete work due to time constraints.
    • Stepping up/down material handling equipment (forklift truck).
