Position: Assembly Supervisor

Reports To: Plant Manager                                                                     Exempt: No

 

 

POSITION SUMMARY

 

This position will provide effective management of assembly personnel, and optimize the assembly of our HPP food presses, which includes heavy crane work, mechanical, hydraulic/pneumatic and electrical wiring. Role is accountable for timely completion of equipment assembly while adhering to quality and safety standards.

 

PRIMARY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage assembly personnel, meeting schedule expectations.
  • Insure complete documentation of standard work exists for all manufacturing processes and operations.
  • Collaborate with all departments of the business to share and implement best practices, improve quality and reliability of the manufacturing operations.
  • Accountable for the On-Time, Complete and Correct (OTCC) performance of the assembly operations.
  • Committed to employee engagement and fostering two-way active communication.
  • Provide problem solving and support to assembly operations.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the product line and technical specifications.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

 

Responsibilities

Requirements

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • Strong technical ability and people management skills.
  • 5-10 years leading people in an assembly or production environment.
  • Systematic, process oriented.
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills. Able to lead teams to resolve issues.
  • Track record of meeting deadlines – organized and timely. Sense of urgency.
  • Proven technical, quality, and safety skills.
  • Ability to lead and develop people.
  • Accountable and performance oriented.
  • Proven ability to gain buy-in from teams.
  • Experience with continuous improvement programs a plus.
  • Background with quality milestones and quality documents a plus.
