The HR manager will partner with various leaders and functional support groups of the JBT Avure team and will report to the General Manager of the Avure group. JBT acquired Avure- a leading provider of high pressure processing (HPP) systems Q1 of 2017.  Once privately held Avure is headquartered in Erlanger, KY, with a manufacturing center in Middletown, OH.

The HR manager will have the opportunity to work with a team of smart engineers working on cutting edge food processing and preservation technologies. The business unit is projected to add 50million in revenue annually to the JBT group.

As a member of the site management team you will provide overall site leadership for the human resource function, including organization development, training, and staffing, compensation, and performance management.




Ensure that policies are administered consistently and are available to all employees upon request.

Ensure Worker Compensation, Short Term Disability, Unemployment Compensation and ADA are administered consistently and regulatory standards are adhered to.

Assist with litigation and case management as it pertains to WC, STD, UC, ADA and other legal issues.

Assist employees with employment-related issues such as benefits, payroll, disability wages, etc.

Act as a liaison between employees and benefit providers when assistance is needed.

Assist managers with employee performance and development discussions.

Promote positive employee relations by developing relationships built on trust and integrity.

Maintain an open-door policy to ensure employees’ personal and professional wellbeing.

Provide accurate and timely information for the annual Affirmative Action Plan.

Participate in and/or lead various human resources related projects for the division and company.

Develop and implement ideas for better efficiency of processes and procedures.



  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field
  • 5+ years of Human Resources generalist experience with a focus on employee relations,staffing, training, compensation and performance management.
  • Able to deal with ambiguity and proactively solve conflicts/problems.
  • Self driven and results oriented
