We have an immediate opportunity for an Employee Development Specialist in our Stratford plants.


Position Summary:

This position is instrumental in developing and delivering training solutions within our organization. This hands-on role involves considerable technical expertise and the ability to present that expertise in a manner that is interesting, understandable, and drives problem solving thought processes.



  • Presents to groups of associates on technical subjects regarding safety, welding and fabricating concepts, techniques, blue print reading, metallurgical data, etc.
  • Collaborates with plant management, quality and safety personnel to assist in the design and implementation of all training curriculum.
  • Maintains accurate training records for all associates.
  • Reads, interprets and edits technical training documents.
  • Provides training at all skill levels of the organization in all plants and on all shifts.
  • Coordinates and schedules training sessions for qualified associates and provides continuous educational opportunities for learning and developing skills needed for optimal performance.
  • Occasionally flexes into assembly when no employees need training; as assigned by Lead or Plant Manager.
  • Performs Duties as assigned by Employee Development Manager.



Education & Experience:

This is an in-house technical training position where the qualified candidate will have the proven and demonstrated ability to lead by example proper welding techniques in both MIG and TIG; finishing, reading blueprints (schematic drawings), safety, understand and properly communicate quality requirements (A & B internal as well as ASME), and understand fundamental concepts regarding metallurgical components. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5+ years of steady and progressive employment with A & B Process Systems.    The candidate should have the ability to manage numerous tasks and projects simultaneously.  The qualified applicant will be able to design and deliver both non-technical and technical training; as well as professionally interact with all levels of personnel. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills; be team orientated, self-motivated and well organized with the ability to work in a fast paced environment.  A thorough understanding and proficiency in Microsoft software (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) applications is preferred.  Familiarity with researching technical topics on the Internet is a definite plus.
