We have an immediate opportunity for an Installation Estimator/ Project Manager.

Responsibilities

Position Summary:

This is a technical position, which will be responsible for the complete and accurate detailed analysis and estimate of projects proposed by and for A & B Process Systems and the proposed installation services. This position will take an active role in the development of and execution of accepted proposals through project management and project coordination.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Position by its very nature requires the interpersonal skills to development and maintenance of customer (sales) relationships.       This would include the ability to up-sell and to close RFQs with a customer.
  • Must have the ability to maintain and develop existing and new customers through the application A&Bs products and services to customers’ problems/opportunities through the proposal cycle.
  • Identifies areas of improvement that will eliminate waste, improve productivity while supporting safe work practices.
  • Must be able to develop detailed material and labor takeoffs as required to create estimates.
  • Accountable for estimated vs. actual production hours per project.
  • May perform Project Management in various installation services, including communication with field supervisors, purchasing and accounts receivable.
  • Occasional travel as assigned for walk thru or customer site visits.
  • Position will have the capability to estimate equipment rigging and installation as well as piping projects.
  • Basic understanding of piping layout, good piping practices.
  • May conduct and assist in maintaining training to new associates establish professional working relationship with new associates to ensure success of the team and individual contributions.
  • Ensures accurate and detailed follow up with all internal and external customers, maintain excellent customer contact with project management or the assistance of, as it relates to manufacturing (E.g. skids, tanks, etc.) after the estimate has been completed.
  • In depth understanding of P&ID's and layout drawings.
  • Ability to read and understand scope of work documents, project requirements and project contracts.
  • Will adhere to systems and process for efficient departmental and interdepartmental operation including SOPs.
  • Performs Duties as assigned by Sr. Installation Estimator/ Project Manager.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

An Associates degree in Management or Engineering is recommended. In depth knowledge of industry practices for stainless steel manufacturing\installation such as welding and equipment rigging is highly preferred.   Previous supervisory experience is a definite plus.  At least 5 years experience in a Stainless Steel Manufacturing\process piping installation environment is preferred.  Good communication skills are necessary and excellent listening skills are essential.  Interpersonal skills, teamwork, leadership, self-esteem, confidence, respect and honesty, time management skills are all qualities that are necessary for selection and success.
