Postion Title:  Lead ERP Administrator

Reports to:  ERP Manager


The Lead ERP Administrator is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the ERP systems and data.  Has complete understanding of SyteLine technical principles, concepts, and can apply these widely to perform systems administration functions such as system deployments; troubleshooting user problems and review of the operational status of the systems.  This position will participate in projects to implement, test and design ERP systems and applications, resolve ERP-related software and system problems, monitor and maintain ERP systems security, coordinates install of new software releases and system upgrades, and evaluates new patches.  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinates the installation, upgrade, and maintenance of SyteLine 9 applications, databases, and servers, which includes installing new software releases and system upgrades, evaluating and coordinating installation of patches and modifications to SyteLine environment.
  • Vendor management with third party administration
  • Troubleshoots and resolves technical problems with SyteLine systems to include application, database, and server problems. Coordinates with SyteLine technical support, outside consultants  where needed.
  • Manages the integrity of security design for SyteLine applications and systems. Administers systems security measures to protect data, software, and hardware.
  • Design, implement and and maintain backup and recovery processes. Administers systems security measures to protect data, software, and hardware.
  • Manages user access related tasks completed by a Tier 1 team.
  • Coordinates creation of pilot environments for SyteLine 9 deployments.  Works closely with CapGemini, Infor and the IT team to ensure that all applications, patches and mods are installed and fully tested prior to start of pilot.
  • Assists with project planning for pilot environments and rollouts into the production system.  Works closely with every business unit during piloting and go live including ensuring system availability, stability, and issue resolution.

RELATIONSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES:

Will work closely with end users, internal and external developers, internal audit and other compliance departments, external auditing groups, CapGemini hosting provider, and third party technical developers and software providers.

 

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITY:

Must be self-directed, an eye for continuous improvement, and have keen attention to detail as well as immediacy in responding to IT issues. Responsible for raising concerns and ensuring all audit documentation is produced and processes are adhered to.  During piloting and go-live, hours may become variable and this role is responsible for ensuring issues are resolved effectively and promptly.

 

Responsible for suggesting and assisting in implementing continuous improvement initiatives. Errors are detected through continued IT monitoring of issues. The impact of these errors may cause lost information, productivity or security issues.  This role is responsible to ensure continuous monitoring is taking place, identifying areas of concern, closing gaps, and moving the company to best practices.  

 

 

 

 

Qualifications

ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS:

BS/BA degree in Information Systems or related field and 5 or more years of relevant work experience in support of Infor SyteLine platform.

.

  • Expertise with CloudSuite Industrial (SyteLine) core applications (9.x, 8.02)
  • Expertise in configuring multi-site environment and replication rules
  • Expertise with configuring APS
  • Deep understanding of ION, EPAK, Shop-Trak, Doc-Trak, workbench suites
  • Systems administration experience with SQL server-based SyteLine environments and applications, including configuration, troubleshooting, application level support, and maintenance
  • Strong documentation and process improvement skills
  • Strong project and implementation planning skills
  • Strong customer support skills, with commitment to quality service and on-time delivery
  • Must be able to handle complex problems and properly triage, resolve, and communicate issues across organization.
  • Have a strong work ethic and display initiative

 

Strong candidates possess the following (i.e., educational requirements, licenses, certification, work experience, training etc.)

  • Experience with multi-national ERP implementations
  • Strong knowledge and experience with SOX requirements and previous experience with audits
  • Knowledge of Infor BI tools and roadmap. Experience with other BI tools a plus.
