This position is located at the Los Angeles International Airport in Los Angeles, CA.



  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the Baggage Handling System (BHS) 
  • Provide direction for all personnel working on the BHS and associated equipment.
  • Strive to improve efficiency, profitability, and safety of the operation.
  • Coordinate formal interfaces with customers.
  • Manage and measure customer expectations.
  • Comply with company safety program and trainings.
  • Ensure consistent leadership and direction for the site.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or needed.




While performing the duties of BHS Manager the employee is regularly required to sit; stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms. Work in a fast paced environment. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close proximity vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Good hand/eye coordination is required.




The primary work environment is similar to an office environment. However, the BHS Manager must have the ability to conduct business in outside weather conditions, near moving machinery parts; on an active Airport ramp; near vehicles and jet aircraft.



  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 5+ years’ managerial experience in the area of airport conveyor maintenance operations and project management
  • Valid Driver License
  • Ability to be on-call and work occasional evenings and weekends
  • Strong presentation, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to be badged to work in secure areas of an airport
  • Familiarity with Airport operations, specifically BHS, a plus
  • Computer skills with knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and project management
