We have an immediate opportunity for a CNC Pressbrake Operator/Programmer.  This position setups, loads, programs and operates a CNC Trumpf pressbrake.  Operates power hand tools such as cordless drill, sanders, grinders, horizontal and vertical saws and drill presses. 


  • Reviews procedures, work orders, blueprints, set-up sheets, NC programs and receives verbal work instructions. 
  • Must be able to select rooling, program machine, bend flat patterns on a Trumpf Tramabend V130.
  • Performs program offsets at machine controls if needed.
  • Learns to set up and/or make necessary changes to set ups. 
  • Must be able to inspect using angle gauges, Vernier calipers, height gauge.  Work closely with Engineering to debug bend programs to maximize efficiency.
  • Operates assigned machine shop tools including pressbrake, laser, waterjet, mill, lathe, horizontal and vertical saws, grinders and drill presses. May perform additional operations on product such as cleaning, deburring and sanding. Logs or enters information into system for run and setup times. 
  • Performs routine preventative maintenance and cleaning on pressbrake. Assists with maintenance and care of work area and shop as needed. 
  • Stocks and inventories tooling, maintains a neat and organized work center. 

Occasional Responsibilities: 

  • Performs other duties as assigned. Assists in other areas of the shop as assigned. 


Knowledge and Skills:

  • Ability to work from drawings and oral instruction.
  • Some knowledge of inspection gauges and equipment. Ability to inspect parts to drawings using Vernier’s, dial indicators, micrometers, height gauges, pin gauges, radius gauges, etc.
  • Basic computer skills necessary for time recording.
  • Good communication skills. Team player. 
  • Ability to learn to learn other operations as needed.


  • At least 3-5 years experience in a sheetmetal fabrication environment preferred.
  • 3-5 years' experience bending sheetmetal on a CNC pressbrake. Exposure to Trumpf equipment is a plus but will train an experienced person.
  • Experience in a job shop part fabrication and assembly of equipment environment is a plus.
  • Working experience in an ISO or continuous improvement environment is a plus.
